First day of First Vacation

We are headed to OBX for the first of two vacations. On our way down for the first one, we decided to take the kids to Water Country USA. Em loves water and we didn't want Jacks and Em to have to be in the car for 8 hours.

Both kids were GREAT in the car. It was a 5 hour trip down. We left at 4 in the morning and got there at 10...when the park opened. We had to stop to let Em stretch her legs and I had to feed Jacks.



We ended up letting Emma decide when we left, since the trip was for her. We were at the park for 5 hours!! She was great. She didn't have a nap...and she didn't get whiney one time.


She loved the water slides, wave pool, lazy river, and the Kiddy Korral. I couldn't get pictures of the slides and wave pool since I was with Jacks. Most of the area was shaded...but there were parts that were not.



Jacks enjoyed lounging around.



What a great start. Tommy and I said it's our new tradition.
