First Night

Sunday night was the first night we put Jackson in his crib to sleep. It's not that I didn't like him sleeping next to me...I do. It's easier to have him an arm's reach away, especially when nursing. However, I thought he (and me) would both sleep better if we didn't have the disturbances of each other (Jacks is such a loud sleeper. He makes so many noises when he sleeps and when he is falling asleep). Well, he did great! He slept from 8:30-1:30, and then again from 2-4:45. Unfortunately, he is still having the difficulties of falling back to sleep after his 4:45 feeding. On a great note...he put himself to sleep in his crib. I was the one putting him to sleep before that. He does need a mobile that plays lullabies for him to sleep, and when it goes off, if he is not sleeping soundly, he will wake up again, but he will fall asleep after that.

On Monday (5/3) he slept in his crib for a nap...this was a first. Again, he put himself to sleep. In the sleeping department, we are making large strides.

Previously, with sleeping, he was sleeping in a pack-n-play that vibrated and napping in his swing. Between the two of us, I think we are both getting the hang of it.
