August 5, Thursday at the beach, Em turned the big 2. We started off the morning excited for her and her birthday, and incessantly talking it up. By lunch time, she was able to tell anyone and everyone, she was two.
We spent the day at Ocracoke Island. We took the Ferry over, ate lunch, then took the girls to get candy and ice cream. Nothing like a cold cone on a hot day.
After we all arrived back, dad picked up Em's beach themed cupcakes at the store. Mimi knows how to pick out the best cupcakes for every event. She picked out these adorable cupcakes, and is even doing Em's party at home. Mimi and pop even picked up an Elmo balloon for her.
We celebrated with a wonderful dinner put on by the Peace family, and Ashley, and ended with delicious cupcakes.
Everyone was so generous to sing Happy Birthday, and Em had no problem blowing out her candle.
It was the best way to spend a birthday...one I will never forget!! It's hard to believe Emma Lee is two!!
