I was fortunate enough to have off the Friday before Labor Day, as well as Monday (Labor Day). We decided to go home for the long weekend. Emma LOVES going to Mimi and Pop's house, and Auntie Meghan, Uncle Josh, and Ellie were going to be home too.
We went home on Friday, and Tommy then met us on Saturday after his game. The car ride was horrendous!! I felt so bad for the kids because the last place they wanted to be was the car, and to top it all off, we were going to make them get back in the car on Saturday for another 2 hours to go to the cabin.
Saturday we made to the trip to the cabin with Grammi, Pa-pa, Auntie Maggie, Tyler, Aunt Lauri, Uncle Ed, Uncle Jeff, Bobbi, and Alec. It was a short trip, but Emma had fun. She kept calling it "Grammi's cabin." Grammi took her for a walk down to the lake, and then Tommy and I took both kids on a nature walk to explore all the animal trails. Emma loved looking at all the animal bones, feathers, and animal poop. Jackson enjoyed a nice laid back day watching his surroundings.
On Sunday morning, we made our way back to Mimi and Pop's house. Emma is so lucky to have an Aunt and Uncle who raise horses because we went to see Aunt Jessie, and not only did she get to feed Tiso, Saxton, and Hadley carrots, she got to ride Wish. She loved it!!!
We finished off Sunday with a picnic...lots of yummy food.
Whenever we go home to Mimi and Pop's house we are spoiled rotten!!! Mimi, Pop, Uncle Toddy, and Auntie Meghan LOVE Emma and Jackson. We are soooo lucky to have them!!
