Fresh Beat Band

Ok...after a long break from blogging...I'm back (or at least I am going to put forth a concerted effort to be back).

This weekend was Fresh Beat Band weekend. My mom got the girls (and us) tickets to see this concert for Christmas. In preparation for the concert, my friend made us CD's, and my sister made the girls T-Shirts.

The concert was Sunday, so my sister picked Em up on Friday to take her to Mimi and Pop's with Ellie. The girls have a great time playing with each other, and they love playing on the farm with Mimi and Pop.

Friday, they hung around the house and played all night. We had Jacks with us (an only child) on Friday night. We stopped over to the Kline's house for some March Madness fun, and came home and called it a night.

Saturday, the Mimi and Auntie Meghan took the girls to the St. Patty's Day parade. From the looks of it, the girls had a great time seeing the people in the parade and catching candy.

Jackson and daddy went to school to get things ready for the basketball banquet, and I went to grab some St. Patty's day breakfast with cousin Greg. Tommy and Jackson then joined us (at our table we had previously reserved) for lunch. Jackson had a great time taking in the sights from the restaurant...crazy Irish people:)

Saturday night was the basketball banquet and a trip to church for Jackson with Grammi and Paw-Paw. Believe it or not, they said he was really good. After every song, the would clap his hand and say "Yay!" What a goofball!!

Sunday Jackson and I made the trip to Mimi and Pop's for Fresh Beat Band. We played outside...taking Mule rides, swinging, and eating snails.:) (A little joke between me and the girls.) Then it was time for FBB and Jackson to take a nap (not his idea of fun!). The girls had a great time dancing and singing to the music. It was a great location with tons of room to let loose.

Friends Give Friends a Hand!

Loco Legs is definitely a crowd pleaser!

Patches Trip #4

We have now been to Patches Creamery four times. This may sound strange, but the kids don't really enjoy the ice cream, as much as they enjoy feeding and petting the animals.

On our way there, Em fell asleep in the car.

Jacks was wide awake and could not wait until we arrived. Unfortunately, his clothes were wet from Grammi's, so we was going pantless.

As soon as we arrived, we headed in for our goat food and ice cream. The kids shared a cone because we always buy 2 (one for each and we always throw 2 cones away.) Em is a wonderful big sister and does a fantastic job of taking care of her brother.

After their cone was finished, the kids were enjoying watching the animals. Jackson "calls" out to them.

As we was walking up to them to get a closer look, he lost his footing and had to quick catch his balance by squatting. He hates grass, so he will do anything to not hit the ground.

The kids finished up the visit by feeding the animals. At one point Jacks fell to the ground (see above) and Em came back and helped him up so he could get closer to the animals.

I just had to finish up the post with this picture:)

Allie's Baptism Weekend

Another weekend was spent at Mimi and Pop's house...we wouldn't want it any other way!

This car ride, we spent over 3 hours in the car. The kids were great...mom and dad, were not:( As soon as we arrived, the kids wanted to play with Mimi, Pop, and Uncle Toddy. They had dinner waiting for us, we ate, played, and loved every minute of it. When Doodle was asked, "Who are you sleeping with tonight?" She replied, "Mimi and Pop!" Lucky Mimi and Poppy, got to sleep with Em. Bedtime approached...we were ready!

Saturday morning came early. The kids were up early. It couldn't have had anything to do with the fact we were going to the opening day of Knoebel's...could it?? Em woke up at 6:00 saying, "We're going to Knoebel's!!!!" Mim's and Pop (I'm sure:)) loved it.

We got the kids ready and were off to fun in the sun at Knoebel's.

We were finally in the park to buy our handstamps. It was BOGO...and you should have seen the wait. Lucky for us, Mimi and Grandma waited in line, so the kids could get some rides in. We went straight to the carousel. All the kids rode!

We quick hopped on another ride...the girls were having a GRAND OLE time!

Pop was in his glory walking Allie around. We had to make sure he was fully aware of the rules...keep a cell phone on you at all times and always answer it. (He tents to wander off too far, and we then are never able to find him.)

Em and El found their favorite (or one of their favorite) ride. 'The Whipper!!!' They rode this ride 4 times.

When they weren't riding, they were patiently waiting.

Jacks enjoyed watching everything too.

Allie Cat continued to rest with Daddy...

While the kids rode rides...

Riding along in my automobile...with daddy...he looks thrilled (doesn't he?)

Mimi loves Knoebel's, just as much as the kids do...can you tell?? Still a kid at heart:)

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that Emma will not be attending Pilot's school any time soon...

While the girls were on the airplanes, Jacks and Mim's went missing...

The crew ended opening day at Knoebel's with the Kiddie Coaster and the Flying Tigers.

See you next time...
